Baby Update 3/10/09

The family is doing well. I believe the hormones are picking up or slacking....something like that. I am feeling just fine. I get really tired sometimes for no apparent reason and have to sit or lay down. Because of that, I have really weird hours as you can see I am doing this at 4:35 in the morning because after an hour of laying in bed, I wanted to get up :) Our next Dr. appt is on March 27th at noon. They want to do another sonogram to hear the baby's heart beat!!!! It still has not hit me.. there is a baby in there... I have contemplated how such an intricate, detailed being can be formed in such a short time. Normally things that have so many details and so many mechanics that must function properly for the other parts to do their job takes a long time to assemble, then check. Think of the buildings that we build, some art pieces take years, some chemical formulas take years to research, test, try again, test, try something new and then hope that no one else has beat you to the correct formula. But this being is growing inside you and no one else can form the exact same person before you do or for that matter even after. And you only take 9 months. Wow, now that is amazing. So far my cravings have consisted of a extra cheese coney from Sonic (due to a billboard on the way home) but I was able to make a Frito pie in home and get by with it. My diet has been modified to caffeine (sodas) only in moderation very seldom and no alcohol and I am trying to notice when I eat sodium so that I can keep an eye on it for water retention reasons. This weekend I am hosting my brother and girlfriend's baby shower. I am excited and it gives me something to do since I have not been able to get a job. Until next time...get some sleep(for me).
